The Tembisa SAPS Cluster arrested about 127 suspects over the weekend.
According to the Ivory Park SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela, 18 of the suspects were arrested for assault. Eight suspects were arrested in connection with domestic violence.
“13 were arrested for possession of dagga, 11 for theft, eight for reckless and negligence driving, eight for possession of an unlicensed firearm and eight for shoplifting.
“Other suspects were arrested for cases ranging for driving while under the influence of liquor, fraud, malicious damage to property, public drinking, burglary and trespassing,” she said.
All the suspects are expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court.
