September is fund-raising month for Child Welfare Kempton
The organisation also needs volunteers to help with the campaign
SEPTEMBER is fund-raising month and Child Welfare Kempton Park needs the community’s help with raising money.
This comes after a a desperate need for funds in order to cater for the many shelters the organisation runs.
“Due to the ever increasing number of children who are in some cases abused, orphaned, vulnerable and child-headed families we have made the month of September our fund-raising month, with the aim of raising funds to allow us to reach out to all children in need,” Brenda Best, of Child Welfare Kempton, said.
“At Child Welfare we have shelters housing these children according to their circumstances and needs. As we believe it takes a community to raise a child, we are appealing to the public and local businesses to ask for help in running and maintaining these homes and other rehabilitation programmes.”
The organisation is also in need of volunteers who will assist with the telefundraising for the campaign.
The fund-raising campaign will run from the beginning of September and will end on October 3.
