In its continuous efforts to provide a stable and reliable power supply to consumers, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality will be carrying out essential maintenance of the electricity vending systems at the Germiston data centre.
In order to make way for the work there will be a planned electricity vending system interruption that will affect all Ekurhuleni pre-paid electricity customers on Friday, September 18 from 11pm until 5am the next morning.
Pre-payment consumers are encouraged to purchase sufficient electricity while maintenance work is being carried out.
The metro wishes to apologise for any inconvenience to be caused.
