THE Isando manager who shot and killed a security guard at his Isando company earlier this week, might have done so out of fear of being hijacked again.
Guy Francois Jean Jaucot (57) briefly appeared in Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. He was granted R10 000 bail and the case was remanded to September 28.
Express confirmed that Jaucot was hijacked at the same spot a year ago. During this incident, also at 5am, his car and cellphone were taken. Since then he carried a gun.
Jaucot also arrived at his place of work at 5am on Tuesday. It is believed the security guard walked over to him to hand him a key. Apparently he did not expect someone standing next to him as he got out of his car.
Mandla Hlahla (52), a Tembisa resident, was shot several times in the upper and lower body.
