Grade 7 pupils from Entshonalanga Primary School hosted an entrepreneurs day on September 4.
Mrs Moerane, a teacher at the school, said the pupils displayed their business skills.
“Regardless of your background, you can become the Motsepe’s or the Bill Gates of Tembisa by starting something out of nothing,” said Mrs Moerane.
She said the event also enabled pupils to discover their passion for business.
“It opened their minds about starting their own businesses to alleviate poverty in their communities,” she said.
“The event inspired other pupils to follow the business industry as a future career. Pupils ran a car wash for staff vehicles, sold hot dogs and baked cakes,” said Mrs Moerane.
