Mega fundraising jumble sale at Denel
Registered charities will be allowed to sell for free but have to pre-book with the organisers
A mega jumble sale will be held at Denel Kempton Park on the weekend of October 3 and 4.
The event is hosted to raise money for a special paeds créche and therapy centre that will be opening next year in Yeoville, Johannesburg.
The daycare facility houses children with mental and physical disabilities.
“We are looking to buy physio therapy equipment and other stimulation equipment,” Fikile Zwane, Kempton resident and one of the organisers of the event, said.
“We would like to invite Kempton residents and the rest of Ekurhuleni to come and sell their old or unwanted items and for others to buy the items. As the saying goes: ‘One man’s trash is another man’s treasure’, Zwane said.
If people are interested in joining the jumble sale as sellers, charges will are: R100 for cars (sedan), R150 for car and trailer, R150 for vans, R200 for mini trucks, R250 for trucks,
R300 for food stalls.

There will be toilets on site and ample parking space for buyers
Visitors pay R5 for adults and it is free for children 12 and under.
The jumble sale will be held at the Denel Sports Grounds in Bonaero Park, corner Atlas and Denel North roads. Gates will open at 8.30am for sellers and 9am for buyers.
