A 42-year-old woman from Mqantsa Section was arrested for the alleged murder of her boyfriend on Sunday.
The Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Constable Patricia Mgijima, said the woman and her boyfriend were in their home when they had an argument.
“The suspect grabbed a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the upper body. Seeing that the victim was bleeding, the suspect called the neighbours and rushed the man to hospital.
“On arrival at the hospital, the woman noticed that her boyfriend had died. She then snuck out of the hospital and ran away,” she explained.
Constable Mgijima said the woman later received a call from a friend confirming that her boyfriend had died.
“She handed herself over to the police. A case of murder was opened and the suspect was arrested. She was detained at the Tembisa SAPS,” she said.
