Kleintjie’s Toddlers donate to Child Welfare

The daycare centre would like to challenge all other day care centres and crèches in Kempton to do the same

KLEINTJIE’S Toddlers Daycare Centre, in conjunction with parents of the school, donated a list of much-needed groceries to Child Welfare Kempton Park.

The nursery school collected items such as cots, nappies, baby clothing, toys, sweets, toiletries, towels, blankets and a feeding chair.

The sweets were packed in lucky packets for distribution to the children.

The handover was done on September 7 at the school’s premises in Edleen.

Child welfare in need of donations

Brenda Best, of Child Welfare Kempton, said the donations are an absolute blessing and would be of great assistance to the destitute families the organisation assists with nappies and baby food.

Best said the toys would be distributed to foster families closer to December as Christmas gifts.

Furthermore, the school would like to challenge all other day care centres and crèches in Kempton to do the same.

Lizette Willemse, who does the PR for the daycare centre, said a drive for school stationery requirements as well as toiletries for girls will be done at the end of December 2015.
