DA MPs to hold public meeting in Norkem Park

All residents living in Birch Acres are invited to attend the public meeting

THE Democratic Alliance (DA) Ward 13 branch will be holding a public meeting on Monday, September 28, at 6:30pm at the NG Mooifontein Church Hall.

DA shadow minister of police, Dianne Kohler-Barnard MP and MP for Lethabong and deputy chief whip in parliament, Mike Waters, will be attending the meeting.

The meeting will focus on the DA’s Norkem Park SAPS Resources Petition, which a number of residents in Birch Acres and surrounding areas have signed.

During the meeting, Ward 13 branch chairperson Steven Makopo and PR councillor Allan Sauls will present this petition to Kohler-Barnard and Waters, who will submit the petition in parliament to the minister of police, Nkosinathi Nhleko.

Kohler-Barnard and Waters will also visit the Norkem Park Police Station and an information table at Birch Acres Spar ahead of the meeting.

The DA is encouraging residents who have not signed the petition to visit this information table from 4pm so that they have an opportunity to add their signature before it is submitted in parliament.

All residents living in Birch Acres are invited to attend the public meeting.
