Classrooms destroyed in fire

Five classrooms were destroyed in a fire at Entshonalanga Primary School on Saturday evening.

Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said the police, who were on patrol in the area, saw smoke coming from the school premises.

“The police stopped and went inside the school. They noticed that classes were on fire. They immediately called for the fire brigade to come to the scene. They extinguished the fire.”

According to Capt Ralidzhivha, there was nobody at the school and the cause of the fire is still unknown.

“We are appealing to anybody who may have any knowledge or information to come forward.

“People can contact 0860 10111 or SMS 32211,” he said.
