Two children injured in Zuurfontein Road accident

A taxi rear-ended a bakkie

FOUR people were injured on Sunday evening after a taxi rear-ended a bakkie on Zuurfontein Road.

When ER24 paramedics arrived, they found the taxi and bakkie in the middle of the road. Occupants from the taxi were found sitting on the sidewalk while occupants from the bakkie were walking around on the scene, Russel Meiring of ER24 said.

On assessment, paramedics found that two adults as well as two-year-old boy and six-year-old girl had sustained minor injuries in the collision. Fortunately no serious or fatal injuries were reported.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and transported them to Tembisa Hospital for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
