The incident took place on September 18 at Caprivi in Moteong, Tembisa.
Constable Patricia Mgijima said the suspect allegedly had an argument with the deceased earlier at a tavern in the Moriting section.
“The deceased left for Caprivi with his friends and the suspect followed them. The suspect then shot the victim multiple times and ran away,” she said.
“The victim was taken to Tembisa Hospital where he later died.”
She said the suspect’s lawyer handed him over at the Tembisa Police Station where he was detained.
“He appeared before the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court and he was remanded in custody for bail application. He will appear again on September 29 for bail application,” Const Mgijima said.
