“The opening of the new Entrance 1 and improved parking has definitely alleviated many of our shoppers’ concerns as confirmed by the many positive comments we’ve received from shoppers as construction work continues into the next phase,” says Marietjie Pienaar, East Point centre manager.
This month sees the old Parrott’s Restaurant entrance closed to the public as construction work continues in and around the centre.
For ease of shopper access to the Eastern part of the shopping centre, a temporary entrance has been opened next to Cajees. Directional signage has been erected to make the entrance more visible. The next phase of construction will entail the demolition of the old Barnyard area and include further work on the link between Game and East Point.
The new traffic circle in the parking area is complete and has greatly improved traffic flow into and out of East Point.
