Apply now for metro’s grants-in-aid
The approved grants-in-aid will be awarded early next year

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality has reviewed its grants-in-aid policy and will, this year, embark on a new approach aligned to its community empowerment programme – Mintirho Ya Vula Vula.
Announced by executive mayor, Clr Mondli Gungubele, during his 2015 State of the City Address, the programme is aimed at maximising local content and participation, particularly by women, youth and people living with disabilities.
This is to be achieved through the creation of sustainable jobs, skills development and the promotion of industrialisation.
Organisations are therefore invited to submit proposals for financial support under the following high level priority areas: sports, recreation, arts and culture, social cohesion, local economic development and sustainable job creation, and social development.
Formal application forms are available at all customer care centres, the municipality’s head office in Germiston and all ward committee offices or by contacting any of the following officials: Nthabiseng Lerata on 011-999-0810; Joseph Selolo on 011-999-0794 or Annah Moloi on 011-999-0806.
The closing date for submitting proposals is October 9.
Proposals must be submitted to the grants-in-aid support office, foyer, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality, head office building, corner of Cross and Roses streets, Germiston. No late submissions will be considered.
Proposals will be adjudicated and the approved grants-in-aid will be awarded early next year.
