DA to lead drug March in Kempton Park
The march will start at 9am at the corner of Bosch and Commissioner streets
On Saturday, DA national spokesperson and Tembisa constituency head, Refiloe Ntsekhe, and ward councillor Jaco Terblanche will lead a march against drugs in Kempton Park.
“Kempton Park, which is home to OR Tambo International Airport, should be seen as a first class destination for people visiting Gauteng. Instead, Kempton Park has become known for its drug problem with drug dealers openly selling drugs in the area,” both said.
The DA will march with community members to Kempton Park Police Station to hand over a memorandum calling on the police to implement an action plan to fight the scourge of drugs, which includes the reintroduction of specialised drug units.
The march will start at 9am at the corner of Bosch and Commissioner streets.
