VIDEO: Jeugland bullies send bully video to their victim
Mother: 'I just want people to realise what this is doing to kids'

Bullies at a local high school sent a video of their victim being bullied by them in class, to her.
They now face strong disciplinary action from the school once identified.
Dr David Morris, principal of Hoërskool Jeugland, wants to meet with the grade 8 learner and her mother in an attempt to identify the perpetrators.
“A disciplinary hearing will be conducted after which steps will be taken against these learners. I want to make the life of such offenders in my school unbearable,” Morris said in an email to Express on Thursday afternoon.
At the time of publishing, he was still awaiting the mother’s response.

According to the mother, the incident took place on Wednesday. Her daughter forwarded the video to her after she had received it.
One of the alleged bullies’ name is known to Express.
In the video one can see the girl lying on her arms at her desk while being continuously harassed by fellow learners. She eventually sits up, wipes her face and holds her head.

The mother told Express her daughter started school at Jeugland in July and was complaining about a group of children bullying her the past month. She said she took the issue up with the grade 8 head of teachers but to no avail.
She is not sure about her daughter’s future at this stage.
“I was thinking of home schooling but will have to get somebody private and don’t know where to start looking. We are new here.
“I just want people to realise what this is doing to kids – what my daughter and other children are going through. It is terrible. Schools have to be more aware of these bullies and expel them. Why are they putting up with these hooligans?”
Kempton Express could not reach the spokesman for the Gauteng Department of Education on Thursday.
