Learners have out-of-this-world experience inside planetarium
The Bright House nursery kids learned about the solar system and its planets inside a huge mobile inflatable dome
CHILDREN at Bright House Pre-school and Aftercare were treated to an out-of-this-world experience inside an inflatable planetarium.
The Allen Grove pre-school had a huge mobile planetarium visit the school to teach them about different planets and solar system, as part of their education theme for this month called “Planet Earth and Beyond”.
“We decided to take this education beyond the classroom and enhance the content as part of an all-out immersive experience by booking a mobile planetarium for the kids,” Noleen Van Zutphen, of Bright House, explained.
“This multi-media show, which took place in an inflatable dome, captivated the minds of our children with the wonders of the universe,” Van Zutphen said.
In line with the latest CAPS-documents, the presentation covered a number of topics which the kids learned about, including objects in the sky such as the sun, earth, moon, the starts and constellations, asteroids and comets, as well as the different planets.
