Qondis’ ishishini lakho campaign launched in Tembisa

Campaign aims to register 10 000 township SMMEs.

Gauteng Premier David Makhura launched the Qondis’ ishishini lakho (Fix Your Business) campaign in Ivory Park on October 14.

Various government agencies dealing with taxation, registration, funding, water, electricity and liquor licenses were under one roof to provide immediate onsite assistance to businesses across Gauteng townships.

The campaign aims to register 10 000 township SMMEs with a turnover of less than R1 million.

It is also aimed at changing perceptions about business registration and awakening township businesses to the benefits of business formalisation such as greater opportunities for funding, credit lending and greater market access.
