FROM Friday, October 16, to Monday, October 19, Norkem Park SAPS arrested 38 suspects for various crimes, including murder and rape, and 26 illegal foreign nationals were also arrested, said the station’s spokesman Capt Lesibana Molokomme.
“The 26 foreign nationals were arrested during an operation on Friday which was held from 8am to 2pm. The suspects were arrested for being in the country illegally,” explained Molokomme.
Molokomme pointed out that the key role players in ensuring the success of the operation included Norkem Park SAPS, security companies working in the Norkem Park area, Norkem Park CPF patrollers and members of Afriforum in the area.
“The 26 suspects arrested for being the country with no permission will be taken to Lindelani where they will be deported to their countries of birth.”
