Fist fight in Terenure turns fatal

The two friends were arguing when the victim was punched in the face and never woke up

ON Saturday, October 17 at about 4:30pm, a 52-year-old man was arrested for murder at a house on Loofboom Street, Terenure, after a fist fight with a friend turned fatal.

According to Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme, the owner of the house had invited both the suspect and the victim over to his place when the incident took place.

“The complainant and owner of the house allege that the two friends had an argument which ended in the one hitting the other with a fist in the face. The victim then fell to the ground,” explained Molokomme.

“They tried to resuscitate him but there was no response. The paramedics were called to the scene and the man was certified dead.”

Molokomme added that police were called to the scene and the suspect was arrested for murder.
