Great strides are made getting power back on

ACCORDING to the latest update from Ward Councillor Jaco Terblanche regarding the power outage, only small areas of Van Riebeeck Park and Edleen will be affected for a prolonged period.

He earlier told Express the estimated time for these areas to be off was about 36 hours.

According to him the areas which will stay off for this period are around De Wiekus Road up to the Edleen circle and Green Avenue towards the vlei area.

“Eleven subs were out but we are working towards only six being out by 3pm,” said Terblanche.

The metro has still not confirmed any restoration times with EXPRESS.
