Metro opens its tender awarding process to the public

The meeting will take place in Alberton on Monday

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality invites interested parties to view the public award of contracts and tenders in an effort to promote openness and transparency.

The metro will, for the first time, decide on the awarding of its tenders in public to demonstrate its commitment to transparency and clean and effective administration.

On Monday, the tenders under consideration will affect Information Communications Technology, Disaster and Emergency Management Services as well as City Planning departments.

Some of the contracts that will be considered include the refurbishment and upgrading of fire stations in Vosloorus and Rynfield, as well as the installation and maintenance of wireless network infrastructure.
