NATIONAL: ‘Blue’ puppy rescued by SPCA in Daveyton

Luckily the paint was not toxic

Field officers of Benoni SPCA rescued a stray puppy from a group of naughty kids in a street in Daveyton on Wednesday.

The kids got hold of some paint and had painted the poor pup blue.

Field officer Izak reprimanded the children and brought the animal back to Benoni SPCA for treatment. Luckily, the paint was not toxic and so, after a nice warm bath, the little pup ravished down a huge bowl of delicious puppy food.

The SPCA has vaccinated and dewormed her and she will be up for adoption shortly.
