Van Riebeeck CPF donates money to security companies
R7 000 was raised by the residents
THE residents of Van Riebeeck Park showed their appreciation towards local private security companies, PHS COPS and MML Security, by donating money to the company of their choice.
The initiative was started by Van Riebeeck Park CPF and resident/member Margaret Alberts-Ross went around and asked residents for any kind of cash donation, either towards PHS COPS or MML Security.

“I just felt that we as community and residents of Van Riebeeck Park needed to show our appreciation, even if it was only something small. We expect them to catch the criminals but they never know if they are going back home and we do not realise that they also have families to go back to,” said Alberts-Ross.
In two weeks, Alberts-Ross raised R7 000.
“Thank you to the community for participating in this initiative and thank you to our hard working security officers for always doing their best and more to keep us safe. We know it’s not always easy and safe but know we are very grateful,” said Alberts-Ross.
