Emergency water shutdown will affect many suburbs

The shutdown is necessary to do valve replacements on Willow and Kingfisher streets

An emergency water shutdown, which will affect many Kempton Park suburbs, will take place on Thursday evening, January 28.

Suburbs which will be without water are the CBD, Rhodesfield, Kempton Park ext, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park, Allen Grove, Glen Erasmia, Glen Marais, Pomona and Bredell, ward councillor Pieter Henning said.

The shutdown is necessary to do valve replacements on Willow and Kingfisher streets.

The water supply to the areas as mentioned above will be affected from 8pm to 3am. Water tankers would not be supplied as the operation is at night.
