The City of Ekurhuleni will not change its refuse removal schedule in 2016, following the adoption of a fixed calendar system.
It is therefore the responsibility of each household to familiarise themselves with the refuse removal schedule in order to know the day on which refuse is to be collected.
Residents will receive a colour-coded refuse removal calendar which reflect the collection days for the 52 weeks of the year.
Furthermore, waste collection services will be provided on all public holidays, except December 25. This will result in a consistent service all year round.
The calendars will also be available in due course on www.ekurhuleni.gov.za
Residents are urged to ensure their bags are on the sidewalk as early as 7am on the collection day.
