For several years, Trinco has been involved in education and schools programmes in the community to help make a difference where it is needed most.
The Trinco Brighter Tomorrow Challenge has touched the lives of children in 150 schools around Gauteng.
The Tembisa-based, Thembinkosi School for LSEN was among the schools to benefit and received a R20 000 donation.
Other schools that benefited from the project are based in Alexandra, Kempton Park, Ivory Park, Ga-Rankuwa, Soshanguve, Mabopane, and Hammanskraal. Schools participated in a pack collection scheme, in an endeavour to win much-needed funds to improve their schools.
The overall winning school received R50 000 and eight schools, including Thembinkosi for LSEN, received R20 000 each.
Eight more schools received R5 000 each to be used to improve the facilities for pupils at the schools.
In addition to this, all the pupils at the schools received Trinco backpacks for the new school year.
Trinco brand manager, Mr Motheo Dube, thanked the schools for their participation.
“Improving infrastructure at schools enables pupils to gain the most from their time at school,” said Mr Dube.
