Residents will have to endure a few more hours without water as maintenance teams replacing a valve on Albatross Street has encountered a setback.
According to ward councillor Jaco Terblanche, the new valve installed on Albatross Street started leaking immediately after the water was turned on at 9am. Water had to be turned off again for the valve to be replaced.
It is now expected that water will only be back on at 1pm this afternoon.
Water tankers will be made available at Cavendish Glen and Glen Acres shopping centre. Tankers will also visit schools in the affected areas.
