The Lutheran Valentine’s Race was founded by the All Women’s Ministry of Tembisa West Lutheran Church in 2015.
The race entails a 5km run and fun walk, as well as a 2km walk for pensioners and children.
The race takes place the Saturday preceding Valentine’s Day of each year, and the purpose is to promote a healthy lifestyle within the Tembisa community.
The 2016 race took place in Kgatlamping Section, and was a success as it attracted around 110 participants, which was much more than 2015.
The Lutheran All Women’s Ministry thanked the participants and sponsors.
