The DA Lethabong Constituency chairperson, Mr Phillip Thamahane, said he has received feedback from the Ekurhuleni Department of Energy regarding the service delivery petitions he submitted on behalf of Tembisa residents.
Mr Thamahane said he was informed recently that two high-mast lights have been allocated to Welamlambo in ward 10 for the 2015/2016 financial year and that the department will do a survey of Welamlambo to identify and repair non-functioning street lights.
He said residents of Mpho and Lekaneng sections in Tembisa will receive an additional high-mast light in this financial year.
“I will be following up with the progress made by the Department of Energy in this regard to ensure the residents of Tembisa receive the quality services they deserve,” he said.
Confirmation of the above was requested from the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) by Friday, March 18.
At the time of publishing, no feedback had been received.
