Former staff, pupils invited to event to acknowledge Tata Madiba

"We are who we are today because of people like Tata."

Former Ikusasa Secondary School students, teachers and principals from 1986 to 1991 are invited to attend a meeting at the Tembisa Council Chamber.

The council chamber is located at the corner of George Nyanga and Andrew Mapheto Drive, next to the Rabasotho Hall. The meeting will take place on April 17.

According to one of the organisers, Mr Vincent Hlatshwayo, they aim to organise a farewell for the late Nelson Mandela in order to acknowledge and thank him for the critical role he played in their upbringing.

“We are who we are today because of people like Tata. We need to pay tribute to him and others who have made a contribution to our society,” said Mr Hlatshwayo.
