ON Monday, April 4, PHP Security reaction officer Izak Weideman apprehended a 29-year-old suspect notorious for committing various crimes around Kempton Park.
Weideman said the arrest came after a tip-off on a Whatsapp community safety group just after noon.
“A community member alerted members to be on the lookout for a gold Ford Figo that had been stolen in Bonaero Park ,” explained Weideman.

“I was in Boanero Park doing my rounds when I spotted the vehicle.”
The reaction officer pulled over the vehicle and called the police.
“The suspect has been linked to a few other cases such as robbing learners of their phones, accompanied by a woman in an Uno. He is known in the community,” Weideman pointed out.
Kempton Park SAPS arrived on the scene and the suspect was arrested.
Weideman said the 29-year-old will face charges of car theft, theft and various narcotic-related charges.
