Boy (12) has genitals cut off in gruesome attack

According to the Provincial SAPS' Lieutenant Kay Makhubela, the boy was admitted to hospital on Sunday evening.

A 12-year-old boy is recuperating at hospital after three known attackers allegedly cut off his genitals.
According to the Provincial SAPS’ Lieutenant Kay Makhubela, the boy was admitted to hospital on Sunday evening after a person passing by found him bleeding heavily under a bridge in Themba Khoza Section in Ivory Park.
Lt Makhubela said the three known men called the boy to help call a woman for them.
“The suspects promised the boy they would pay him. The victim went with the men to Themba Khoza to call the woman. While on their way, next to the bridge in Themba Khoza, they grabbed him and held him on the ground. It is believed the three men cut off the boy’s genitals and left him there. The victim was seen by a person passing by who knows him and rushed him to hospital,” said Lt Makhubela.
Lt Makhubela said a case of attempted murder was opened.
“Two men, aged 23 and 28, were arrested on Monday. We are still searching for the third suspect. We are appealing for any information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest,” said Lieutenant Makhubela.
