TWO mothers walking with their children in Kempton Park West, on Sunday, April 16 were robbed of their cellphones and a tablet.
Both suspects have been apprehended and a knife they used to threaten their victims was found on the scene.
The incident occurred at around 7.30pm, on Bloekomdraai Street, after which Terenure and Kempton West patrollers were notified.
Vehicle patrollers responded immediately and caught one suspect with the assistance of foot patrollers.
MML Security also responded, to assist the patrollers to search the captured man. They found two cellphones, a wallet and a tablet on him. A knife was also found on the road next to the robber.
Patrollers continued their search for the second robber while waiting for the police to arrive.
When the police arrived, they took custody of the first robber. In the meantime, one of the patrollers noticed a man fitting the description of the second robber running up Bosduifdraai Street.
Patrollers gave chase and caught him. He was positively identified by the victims and another stolen cellphone was found in his possession.
The men will face a charge of armed robbery.
