One security officer was robbed of his service pistol and the robbers fired several shots at another

TWO suspects are at large after a business robbery at Bonaero Park Shopping Centre.

The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday morning. Security officers were shot at, said Kempton Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Jethro Mtshali.

“It is alleged that at about 5.30am two suspects, driving a white double cab bakkie and a black BMW with no registration numbers, held up a security officer at Bonaero Park Shopping Centre and demanded entry at the gate,” explained Mtshali.

He said one security officer had been robbed of his service pistol and the robbers fired several shots at another security guard, who was in his vehicle. The officer’s vehicle was damaged.

“The robbers broke into Cash Crusaders. At this stage we do not know what was taken as investigations are underway,” Mtshali said.

The police have appealed to anyone with information to contact 0860010111, or to send an sms to 32211.
