BIRCH Acres residents assisted the police on Wednesday morning to corner three fleeing men.
After being captured, one of the men (24) was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
According to the police, officers on patrol saw three men running away when they spotted the police vehicle. The community assisted and gave chase and the three men were cornered and arrested.
When police searched one of the men, he was found to be in possession of a firearm of which the serial number was filed off. His two accomplice were also arrested.
