In a separate incident on the same day, two teenage boys were arrested after robbing a young schoolgirl of her Blackberry cellphone while she was walking home from school.

“It is alleged the mother of the young girl received a call from her daughter, saying that two young boys had robbed her of her cellphone on Pretoria Road,” Mtshali confirmed.

Luckily, some of the girl’s schoolmates had witnessed the incident and chased after the suspects, who were caught and taken into police custody.
