THE metro police recovered a hijacked truck with a load of door handles worth more than R1-million in Chloorkop on Tuesday last week.
Two suspects were arrested while officers also confiscated a sophisticated jammer used to disable tracking signals.

Lt Col Wilfred Kgasago, metro police spokesman, said the truck found at the dump site was on its way from Durban to Meadowdale.
“We received a complaint of a hijacked truck from Netstar on the morning of May 31. Together with the equestrian unit and Tembisa precinct officers we immediately jumped into action. The hijacked truck was located at a Chloorkop dumping site. Two suspects were arrested. The recovery and the arrests were made around 8am,” Kgasago said.
The load of door handles worth R1.2- million was to be delivered to a client in Meadowdale.
Charges of possession of a stolen articulated truck and goods were laid against a 33-year-old Malawian national and a 39-year old Zimbabwean national at Norkem Park Police Station.
