A trio of teenagers, one of them a community patroller in Tembisa, have been arrested for armed robbery.

The three were chased down by security officers after stealing an undisclosed amount of money and a cellphone on May 23.

It is alleged that at about 11pm on the night, the victim was standing outside his Van Der Walt Street home waiting for his friends to arrive so he could open the gate for them, said Kempton police spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali.
