Volunteers needed for sewing project
The programme includes the basics of using a sewing machine and making different items such as clothes and bedding
SINCE EXPRESS published the articles on the Tsohang Basadi Sewing Project, more and more women have joined the school.
As a result of the growing numbers, the initiative is now in need of volunteers to help with training the women who would like to learn sewing skills.

Anyone who has knowledge of sewing and dressmaking as well as extra time on their hands (just once a week for three hours) are requested to please come forward and offer their services on a voluntary basis.
The programme includes learning all the basics of how to use a sewing machine and how to produce different items such as clothes and bedding.
The classes are on Tuesdays from 9am to 12pm and are held at the Birchleigh Dutch Reformed Church on Olienhout Avenue. If anyone is interested, contact Gwen Kruger on 072-439-3975 or 011-972-5029.
Lastly, Tsohang Basadi would also like to thank the public for all the most valuable donations that they have received, which include sewing machines.
