STAFF members and customers were once again evacuated from Standard Bank in Kempton Park after a bomb scare on Friday afternoon.
According to Kempton Police spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, this is the second bomb threat they received in less than a month.
Strangely, the previous scare also occurred at the end of the month on July 25.

The bank, situated on the corner of Voortrekker Road and West Street, received an anonymous phone call telling them there was a bomb inside the bank.
“The police were informed at about 1.45pm,” Mtshali said. “The police’s explosives uit and K9 units were immediately called to the scene to investigate the matter.”
The building was declared safe at around 2.30pm and the staff and customers could return to their business.
“We take any threat very seriously and respond immediately, however, we would like to warn these people making these prank calls. We want to let them know we will arrest them when found,” said Mtshali.
