New mayor makes service delivery his priority

'We will continuously assess our performance so that the necessary interventions can be made timeously'

PICKING his new mayoral committee, the executive mayor of Ekurhuleni put service delivery first.

Clr Mzwandile Masina this morning announced the committee members while delivering his acceptance speeach at a special council meeting in Germiston.

“In putting together this team we considered various issues, among which was capability, gender and age,” Masina explained.

“This team has been put together to optimise service delivery. We will continuously assess our performance so that the necessary interventions can be made timeously.

“After all, every healthy organisation must reflect on its performance on a regular basis to determine if the machinery remains relevant to the course,” Masina added.

“After extensive consultation within the ruling party, the ANC, we have resolved that these are councillors who will be equal to the task of accelerating services.”
