Two water pipe bursts around central Kempton Park within hours of each other, have left many residents without water this morning.
According to Clr Jaco Terblanche a pipe on Du Plessis Street burst late last night. Metro technicians closed off the water to prevent water losses and are currently on the scene to do repairs.
A second pipe on Kosmos Street burst this morning.
Although Terblanche could not give a definite time for water to be back on, he estimated it would be at least four hours.
His main concern is that more pipes could burst because of air bubbles forming in the pipes as a result of Rand Water cutting off supplies to the metro.
Apparently pipes in Edleen also burst yesterday.
