SARS mobile unit to assist residents

You will need certain documents

THE 2016 individual tax filing season has begun and the SARS Mobile Tax Truck (MTT) will be at Kempton Park Civic Centre on September 26 from 9am to 3pm.

With no SARS branch in Kempton Park, residents depend on Edenvale, Alberton or Boksburg for assistance with their tax affairs.

The MTT will assist with the completion and submission of tax returns, income tax registrations and change of registered particulars, general queries, tax enquiries, account enquiries, tax clearance enquiries and tax workshop bookings.

For general queries, residents are requested to ensure they have their ID document/passport/licence or certified copy of ID/passport.

For tax return submissions, you will need to bring your ID document/passport/licence or certified copy of ID/passport, IRP5 from employer, medical certificate (if applicable), RAF certificate (if applicable), logbook (if applicable) and any other proof of income.

For application of Income Tax Registration, an ID document/passport/licence or certified copy of ID/passport is required, along with proof of address that is in your name, CRA01 form if you are renting or staying with someone, together with that person’s certified copy of ID, and a stamped bank statement or letter from the bank.
