Join CPF’s Heritage Day event
Fleamarket stalls can also be put up to exhibit or sell goods or services

A Heritage Day gathering against crime will be hosted by Sebenza CPF on September 24 in a park in Cresslawn.
Those attending are urged to wear traditional or any other cultural attire to the event, which will run from 9am to 3pm.
“One of South Africa’s unique heritages is ubuntu. We appeal to criminals to stop their barbaric acts and start having some ubuntu,” Andrew Mosesi, chairman of Sebenza CPF, said.
“We have diverse cultures in our community, living in peace and harmony, but we are all affected by crime. Crime is a direct opposite of ubuntu and criminals are inhuman. We invite the community of Cresslawn to join us, meet and greet, learn more about the CPF, interact with our police officers and, most importantly, understand the importance of getting involved with the CPF.
The day’s activities include a crime awareness walk (9am to 11am, R10 donation required), meet and greet (11am to noon) and a traditional heritage lunch (bring and share, noon to 2pm).
Fleamarket stalls can also be put up to exhibit or sell goods or services, except alcohol. The cost is R50 a stall.
