A Leboeng section family is desperately searching for their daughter Ms Dorris Phoku, who went missing on November 27, last year.

According to Mr Amos Phoku, Dorris’s father, they have searched with friends, family, relatives and neighbours but to no avail.

“We are appealing to anyone who might know about Dorris’s whereabouts to inform us or the police. Her three children miss her so much. The youngest keeps asking when her mother will be coming back home, we just do not know what to tell her,” said Mr Phoku.

Mr Phoku emphasised that few years back his daughter went to a sangoma in Ivory Park for ukuthwasa (sangoma training) without notifying the family.

“We had to search until we found her. We just do not know or understand what is troubling Dorris. And with her sangoma at Ivory Park, they never finished well what they’ve started. Suddenly, we just saw Dorris coming back home while we were told to bring money for her fees as a trainee sangoma. I now understand my daughter has a problem. Whoever is with her, please let us know where she is,” said Mr Phoku.

Mr Phoku opened a missing person case with the Tembisa SAPS on September 2, 2016.

Anyone with information on Dorris’s whereabouts, can contact Mr Amos Phoku at 073 785 2218 or her brother Owen Phoku at 073 515 2081 or the nearest police station.
