Phase two of Quinine Road upgrades will start in three weeks

Traffic calming measures will be implemented

THE second phase of the stormwater upgrades in Glen Marais will begin in three weeks.

Ward councillor, Jaco Terblanche, said this time the work would be from Haak-en-Steek Street to Frangipani Avenue and would last three to six weeks.

He said traffic calming measures would be implemented.

The first phase of the sewerage line maintenance started on September 10 on Quinine and Dann roads between Veld and Loam streets.

The maintenance work was done to prevent premises from being flooded with raw sewage during the rainy season, after residents of Quinine Road had been experiencing flooding problems for the past two years.
