Miss Spring Pageant at Windsor Academy

The girls enjoyed a range of activities including a choral verse performance, dancing and singing

THE girls at Windsor Academy had an awesome spring fun day at their school on September 16.

The girls enjoyed a range of activities, from a choral verse performance by the school’s choral group, to pupils singing and dancing on stage.

The school also hosted a Miss Spring Pageant for girls grades 8 to 12. The competition consisted of three rounds which included group dancing and individual modelling.

The teachers encouraged the girls to wear plain clothes such as jeans and white T-shirts, no heels, and even walk barefoot for one of the rounds. In the final round, they had to wear something bright and floral.

They were also discouraged from wearing make-up because they wanted the girls to be their natural selves and be comfortable in their own skin.

Four judges adjudicated the pageant, two teachers, one matric learner as well as one external judge.

The girls were also treated to lunch and an ice-cream truck on the school field, where outdoor activities were also available.
