400 800ml of alcohol confiscated from three shebeens

The owners were given a fine of R1 500 each for selling liquor without a licence

AN estimated 400 800ml of alcohol was confiscated during a liquor operation conducted by Norkem Park SAPS on Friday.

The operation started at 2pm and ended at 10pm.

Confiscations were made from three illegal shebeens, said Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, Capt Lesibana Molokomme.

“Two of the illegal dealers were in Greenfield and one was from Tortelduif Street, Norkem Park ext 4. The owners were given a fine of R1 500 each for selling liquor without a licence,” Molokomme said.

“The operation was under the leadership of the acting station commander, Lt Col Petrus Tsoute.
