Unknown man shot and killed in Tembisa

An unknown man was shot an killed in Ehlanzeni Section on September 24.

Captain Neldah Sekgobela said Tembisa South SAPS officers were executing their duties when they received a complaint of a shooting, which occurred in Thukela Street, Ehlanzeni Section.

“On arrival, the SAPS officers found the body of a man lying on the ground. The deceased was wearing blue jeans, a red t-shirt and black All Star shoes. He was shot in his middle body,” said Capt Sekgobela.

“He was certified dead by members of the Ekurhuleni Emergency Services.”

Captain Sekgobela said the deceased’s identity is unknown and the body was taken to the Germiston mortuary.

“The motive of the killing is also unknown,” said Capt Sekgobela.

The SAPS is urging anyone who knows the deceased and/or his relatives to contact Detective Constable Mogashoa of the Tembisa South SAPS on 011 571-4030 or 079 615 7598.
